The Philippines is a country that does not require theÉtudes en France - EEF application procedure (also known as the Campus France online application)
Some French HEIs ask applicants to contact the Campus France office in their country to begin the application process. This is not the case for applicants from the Philippines (for both Filipinos and foreigners in the country).

Students and researchers from the Philippines who have a completed a Master’s degree may apply for admission to a doctoral program in France.
At present, there are no officially recognized equivalences between French and Philippine degrees. French higher education institutions (HEI) make independent decisions on equivalences, they may also give credit to the applicant’s professional experience.

Programs generally last three years, and candidates who successfully defend a thesis or dissertation receive the Doctorate.
English is a working language in many doctoral schools (especially in the natural and technological sciences) throughout the country.
General application information for PhD candidates:
- In applying to doctoral schools, it is common for candidates to contact a department or a professor directly through email.
- Applicants may be asked to present a research proposal or copies of previous academic work as part of the assessment process.
