Looking to brush up on your French before you leave the Philippines? Sign up for classes at the Alliance Française schools!

The Alliance Française network was founded over 135 years ago, boasting a presence in 133 countries and welcoming nearly 500,000 learners yearly. The AF approach allows students to simultaneously progress in the 4 aspects of language: speaking, listening, reading, and writing.

Learners in Manila can opt for classes at the Alliance Française de Manille. Founded in 1920, the AFM is one of the most prominent foreign cultural institutions in the Philippines. The AFM also is home to a gallery, the Aurelio Montinola Jr. Library, and the Bistro Le Coude Rouge.

Students based in Cebu can enroll at the Alliance Française de Cebu. Situated in the heart of Cebu City, the AFC was inaugurated in 2007 by H.E. Girard Chesnel, then Ambassador of France to the Philippines and Micronesia. It is the only French language and cultural center in the Visayas.

An Immersive Learning Experience

Nothing beats picking a language up as you're practicing it in an immersive setting!

As a university student, you can take advantage of complimentary French language courses that your school may offer in parallel to your study program. Inquire with your school's international relations office to see whether this perk is something you can avail yourself of.

There is also an abundance of French language schools in France that cater specifically to an international audience. When choosing your language school, make sure that the institution you're eyeing is legitimate and recognized by the state. One way of ensuring this is by confirming the school's quality labels, which include the Qualiopi and Qualité FLE seals.
