Graduates and recipients of the Eiffel Excellence Scholarship
Here are the stories of Hannah, Edmund, and Gabriel, scholarship recipients of the Eiffel excellence program, who just received their M1 degree in Economics at Paris 1 - Panthéon Sorbonne.
Hannah Cocos, from the Philippines
My studies in France have proved to be both intellectually stimulating and challenging. I have been exposed to specific disciplines within economics that I would have never learned about otherwise. The academic rigor in the university did not fall short in pushing me to be more resourceful and strategic. Learning, however, was not limited within the classroom.
“The international environment I was exposed to encouraged me to further open my mind and engage myself with different cultures, which in itself enriched my understanding of the world."
I could not be more thankful for the opportunity granted to me by the Eiffel Scholarship Programme. I am currently taking up my M2 in Financial Economics.
Edmund Efrei, from Ghana
Studying in Paris has been an exciting and enlightening experience. In short, Paris has offered to me all of France and all of the world in a single moment. France, as an international centre for excellent education has offered to me the opportunity to meet students, researchers, professors from all parts of the world : to share and to learn learn different cultures and to discuss and contribute to trending international discourse.
France's well designed and structured academic curricula which is also up to date with the world as well as her approach to teaching and research has equipped me with some of the best skills and knowledge the world has to offer and thus had prepared me adequately for the future both in academics and in the corporate world.
“For me, to study in France is to study with the best and to learn from the best. Eventually, you become the best.”
I am now enrolled in the M2 Recherche Development Economics programme at the Universite Paris 1 Pantheon Sorbonne and I hope to continue to the PhD level following the successful completion of the M2 programme.
Gabriel Di Paulantonio, from Venezuela
I am an economist from the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (UCAB) and currently an Eiffel Scholar. Thanks to the scholarship from Campus France I was able to complete a MSc degree in Economics at La Sorbonne, the Pantheon Sorbonne Master in Economics (PSME).
“This experience helped me to further develop my knowledge in Economics in such a stimulating and international environment as La Sorbonne”
Right now I am pursuing a M2 degree in Banking and Finance in the same university.
