France Excellence Scholarships for 2025

The France Excellence Grant is a scholarship program offered by the French Embassy in the Philippines to students in the master's and doctorate levels.

The France Excellence grant is a successor of the PhilFrance Scholarship conceived by the French Embassy in 2016 to mark 70 years of French-Filipino diplomatic relations. This initiative aimed to provide exceptional Filipino students the opportunity to obtain higher education in France, having supported a steadily-growing number of scholars every year: in 2024, 8 Filipinos were able to begin their study journey.

In 2025, the PhilFrance Program has been rebranded under the France Excellence label. Subsequently, the two scholarships under the program have been renamed the France Excellence Philippines and the France Excellence-DOST.

Applications for the 2025 campaign are set to open on the 20th of January, with deadlines and requirements varying between the two scholarship programs.

Multidisciplinary Masters

The France Excellence Philippines is a comprehensive scholarship destined for the next generation of Filipino leaders with strong academic, leadership, and professional abilities. Like its predecessor, the PhilFrance Master, the grant is open to study programs in any discipline. Where it differs from the former, however, is its accepting of applicants in the M1, M2 (2nd year of master's), and doctorate levels—all while offering its comprehensive list of perks.

Boosting the Best Scientific Minds

The France Excellence-DOST (formerly PhilFrance-DOST) is a comprehensive scholarship crafted for future leaders and key players in the Philippines' growing research and development sector. Co-funded by the Philippines' Department of Science and Technology - Science Education Institute, this scholarship is open to students admitted into a graduate program issuing a diplôme national in an M1, M2, or doctorate degree in the natural sciences.
