The Campus France Manila office prepares Filipino students for the 2019 academic year
During the last week of July, we organized a pre-departure orientation for 🇵🇭 students headed to 🇫🇷 for the 2019 academic year.
To start the afternoon, Mr Jean-Jacques Forté cultural counsellor of the Embassy of France to the Philippines and Micronesia welcomed the students and gave words of encouragement for the exciting adventure of studying in France that they were about to go on. He also reminded them that they will soon be part of the global France Alumni community that continues to grow each year.
Ms Stephanie Davidson deputy and academic director of the Alliance française de Manille, shared the various language courses and other services AfM offers to help them prepare for their upcoming stay in France.
The pre-departure orientation covered administrative procedures, student life, as well as sharing of useful tips and reminders with the goal of making the students' stay in France as smooth and successful as possible.
The afternoon ended with a goûter (French-style merienda) where they had the opportunity to meet and get to know other Filipino students going to the same 🇫🇷 higher institution or city.
