The Embassy of France in the Philippines is pleased to present the following scholarship programs for the 2022 academic year (September intake).
All applications must be submitted through the PhilFrance Scholarships website, by the April 14th (12 noon) deadline.
Applications sent through other channels (paper, email, etc.) will not be accepted, and will therefore be considered invalid.
PhilFrance-DOST Scholarships Program
Continuing their strong partnership, the French Embassy and the Department of Science and Technology’s Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) are once again working together for the 2022 session of the PhilFrance-DOST Scholarships Program. These scholarships encourage Filipino professionals working in academic, research, or government institutions to pursue a Master’s or Doctorate degree at French public universities.
Aiming to strengthen exchanges of scientific knowledge and expertise between France and the Philippines, the PhilFrance-DOST Scholarships prioritizes the following fields of study:
- Agriculture
- Bioengineering
- Bioinformatics (Medical)
- Biological Sciences
- Climate Change
- Forestry
- Health and Medical Research
- Material Sciences
- Medical Chemistry
- Natural Resources and Environment
- Nuclear Application on Health
- Nuclear Medicine
- Veterinary Sciences
- Virology
The awardees of the PhilFrance-DOST Scholarships will be given the status of boursier du gouvernement français (French government scholar) which entitles them to the following benefits:
From the DOST:
- one round trip ticket from Manila to France,
- a monthly living allowance covering the duration of their studies
- a relocation allowance
- coverage of pre-travel expenses
From the French Embassy:
- an exemption from public university registration fees
- an exemption from visa application fees
- a health care package
- priority access to public student accommodations
Selected candidates of this scholarship program must return to the Philippines immediately after completion of their graduate degree, to render return service or a period equivalent to twice the length of time that they spent in France for their degree.
